Ambrosia Rose

 
This simple fruit salad is very refreshing served cold from the fridge on a hot summer day. With wholemeal toast, it would make a nutritious and satisfying breakfast and of course it also makes an excellent dessert.
 

Servings: 6

4 grapefruit
1 pineapple
1/2 cup sugar
6 oranges
1 cup strawberries
1/2 cup white wine
nutmegs and shredded coconut

  • Dice pineapple; cut grapefruit and oranges in sections.
  • Wash berries and remove stems; add to fruits.
  • Add sugar and let steep for several hours in refrigerator.
  • Before serving, add wine.
  • Sprinkle with shredded coconut and nutmeg.
